Welcome to the super duper site. What does it take to make your site super? A myriad of things could make your particular website special. You could actually believe in what you're selling or what you may want to tell the world.
There are millions upon millions of sites out there trying to be the super duper site. Webmasters across the globe compete in order to make their site seen above all else. Others just want to get a little something going, just because they feel like they must put something out there. The truth is that some of your sites that have the most success really have nothing to offer the end users, but search engines love them. Or the really successful ones, offer both something for the end user and search engines alike.
There is no secret trick that will work for the long haul. Most of the time you get caught. I spoke to seo people, and most of them say with know how and time, you will do good against your competition. If you can afford it, pay one of these guys to clean up your site, and make it both user and engine friendly.
Another thing is get links to your site. Social bookmarking is good. In bound links from other sites like this one helps. Lots and lots of links. Search engines like that. It shows that people are referring traffic your way. Just like word of mouth and referrals in the real world. Tell friends about it. Get on blogs, write articles, request fellow webmasters to do link exchanges. Traffic exchanges work too, just as a means to try to get someone to stop by your site, but usually they just do it for the credit they need for their sites.
There is no real "get rich quick scheme" that really works. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is a fraud. Mirror sites are crap. You would have to pay a lot of money to promote. If you want to make money off your site via kick backs, just sign up with vendors as affiliate, get a banner to paste on your site. You can still make websites, and maybe make a bit of money. Just try to keep it subject related to the overall theme of your site.
I am not n seo person. Just like messing around with websites. I actually learned a lot of tricks along the way, and a lot more to come.
So keep your site real, and don't try to fool the spiders, it usually will cost you in the end. Good Luck. Hopefully you could have a super site that is totally duper.
